Yieldstreet is building the largest global digital wealth management platform to change the way wealth is created. With an investor-first approach, Yieldstreet’s investor community builds a diversified portfolio of investments outside of the stock market to generate passive income. Yieldstreet is giving unprecedented access to asset classes such as Real Estate, Marine, Legal, Art & Commercial.

This specific presentation profusely illustrates the design thinking and development process behind one of the most fast-growing companies within the financial technology industry. Problem solving and efficiently produces the brilliant spectacle visual language to proactively engage and empower prospective investors to their wealth creation journey at Yieldstreet.

Role
One of the critical problems facing the world today is the creation of wealth. For many people, this is a distinct objective. A typical investor considers very few alternatives to invest other than the traditional stock options, which have a high market correlation. Our direct challenge is to re-imagine the possible ways to efficiently deliver a level of security and adequate reliability for investors which enable them to invest with confidence and generate wealth.
To raise Yieldstreet’s profile among other competitors. The company itself needed to redesign its strategy to approach a broader range of users. For a lot of users, the transition from an existing system to a new one can sometimes cause anxiety, confusion, and uncertainty. These are some of the challenges the team faced during the development process. So we ask a series of questions like, “What are the best ways to communicate and build solid relationships with investors? How to retain reliability and build trust with first-time users on the platform? How to enhance the experience and increase users' satisfaction?
Focus and challenges

Our goal is to make things easier as the brand transitions into a new stage. Building on the strong groundwork already in place, we change the scope and make improvements in usability, user experience, and ensure that core values remain consistent. I worked with different teams to increase Yieldstreet originator profiles by 103%. And partnership with the Citi Group to make about $2 billion of assets available to the platform’s mass affluent investors.

Data visualization

Data play a significant role in the day to day operation in today's world. At Yieldstreet, decisions were determined based on the data collected. Sometimes data can get a little messy and invariably confuse over time if they are unsituated properly. The good thing is we all love charts and infographics because they are informative, organize, and easy to understand. We progressively eliminate the potential obstructions and sufficiently establish explicit distinctions between various numbers with clean labeling and provide direct contrast to the users.

Iconography is an integral part of Yieldstreet's design language. They demonstrate a great deal of precision and craftsmanship. I worked on a series of iconography that support the web and product, making sure that they speaks to the respective subject to provide coherent visual sequences that flow with other visual components.
System architecture and user interface

Based on our user studies, we realize users tend to focus heavily on reliability, having the power to easily access personal information, clear visibility on data metrics, and personalized experience that cater to their unique investment profile. Hence, we focus a lot of our resources on defining the right user experience and interactions to fundamentally change the way users interact with our product.

We get to understand our target audience better through user persona case study. We then work together with industry experts and stakeholders to define the correct frame work, stylizing the structure and finally mapping the content appropriately that tailor to our users.

A pre-configured user dashboard provides a high level overview for the users once they sign-in to their account. They are able to track status invested asset performance, asset class that they invested in and a simple account break down all in one coherent page. Users can modify view by applying filters to review specific screens and take different actions base on their needs.
